  4. We are also finally having fall weather. Only in the high 70s today, and it has been raining for about 24 hours and should continue until tomorrow morning. I am so thankful for the cool air and the rain, my poor lawn is soaking it up as fast as if falls.

Suz, when I saw the weather report for the west coast this morning I thought of you. That is just to darn hot for the last week of September. It has to get better soon.

SS, glad you got some exercise on your camping trip (yeah, I know, not what you were hoping for). Hope you got lots of good eats at the grocery.

Shana, that joke is 'just wrong'....very funny, but wrong on some many levels....lol!

Only 2 more weeks until I leave for New England, and I am getting excited about getting a break from my life in the south!

Just booked a local craft fair for December, and although it sounds like a looonnnnggg way away... it isn't when you have zippy do and da made.

Thanks everyone for the great Anni wishes... it was a quiet loving night... steaks and good memories... and the funny part is seven years ago on the first day of our honeymoon, it poured... and today... it's pouring... and for some reason i'm loving it!

ok, off to the grind and the whirl of my sewing machine... wheeeeeee...

  10. I think it's gonna be yummie... it's a spiced pumpkin curry soup... made with pumpkin, chick stock, curry spices, and coconut milk... so i'll let you know how it goes...
I love pamp chef... a girlfriend of mine adores tastefully simple, but i gotta say, me, not so much... I like some of their stuff, but the dips after awhile give me a tummie ache... but that damn beer bread... wowsa... super yums.

  11. Hey, you can get the recipe for beer bread online...it is pretty damn close too! Do a search for quick breads or beer quick breads and it will give you the recipe. It even tells you how to make self-rising flour if you only have the regular kind at home:) I try not to piss of the distributors by telling people that secret at the parties:) I have quite a few kitchen gadgets by Pampered Chef...I love them!

  12. yes, note to self... don't piss off people that are feeding you... or about to give you free stuff.

  13. Hey Ladies!! Arriving late to the partay today lol! Work has been busy this morning.:)
SC glad you had a nice anniversary celebration. I love pampered chef stuff. I don't have much of it but boy is it nice. Have a fun party.
SS..mmmm beer bread. Yum. I am on a pumpkin kick. I made a pumpkin coffee cake for work on Monday, found it on the web and it was good.
SC..can you put your "Vet Tech" hat on for a second? My mini schnauzer has swollen glands in his neck..Big time. Feel like marbles in his neck. He is still eating, drinking and acting is normal/weird self. I feel taking him in that he may not come back out. And cause he acting normal, not sure if it is just allergies??
Any ideas when you have time, I would love. If you are fresh out and don't want to wear your vet tech hat..no worries :)
Jeanette, hope you are doing ok, thinking about you ♥
Shana spider monkey....thinking of you too ♥

    ok..long enough post!!!

  14. Suz ((dons funky smelly rarely used scub hat)) So acting Normal... eating regularly... pee n bowel movements normal? ... Skin condition normal? meaning no scratching, lesions, etc? ... I might hold off and just keep an eye on him. Watch for any lethargy or loss of appetite... could be seasonal bug/allergies he's fighting off and nothing to worry about... which is the usual case for swollen lymph nodes. If not reduced in size in a few days or if appetite or activity changes... than bring him to your vet.

otherwise... stop feeling his balls... LOL.

i think my daughter has chicken pox... has red bumps and the school sent home a note about an outbreak. (she stayed home today cause she was sneezy)... if i have to be locked in the house for a week or two ... i may paint myself rainbow... arrrgghh.

  16. SC, she just wants to fit in with your "peeps!" Ha, ahem, cough...yeah I know, not funny at all when you are the one dealing with an itchy, miserable kid. God gave me enough sense to know that I could NEVAH handle my kids with the pox. I had them SO terribly bad & I got both boys the vaccination. **Shudder** Fingers crossed that she doesn't have them!!

Hey y'all, to everyone else ::Waving::

  17. LOL Keri, he don't have those anymore.. Well, I can't send ya svedka but I would send you a jar of my jalepeno jelly if you wanted one oh and if you liked it :) The last batch I made is going to be called Hotter than Hell, lol cause it is!
Seriously we picked 176 peppers last night. I have probably picked over 500 off my plants.
I had the pox as a kid, not too badly though. My sister in law had em at age 38ish...she was miserable.

I will keep an eye (my good one) on the little dude. and no Shana..not like the picture! LOL :P

  20. Shana... u funny girl ! but sad to say that my little one's had the vaccine too... they can still get the pox, just not as bad... whew. still itchy and nutty though.

Suz, I really would love a jar of that jelly ! yums... would have to wait till i can get out of the house though to get the stuff to eat it with... can't imagine you can eat it straight from the jar?? well, and still have your eyeballs in place...

((patiently waiting for pumpkin coffee cake recipe and praying i have some of the needed ingredients already...))

and if i paint my arse rainbow can i charge extra for the prints??

i am enjoying the thought of actually getting some of the projects i've come up with finished though...

  21. Eeeeekkk! OK Keri, it is up now :) Read the bottom part for the minor recommended changes that made it taste better.

Keri, I had never heard of Jalepeno jelly before but many people I know just love it. They mix it with or put it over top cream cheese. serve it with crackers. My friend put it in the middle of salami and rolled it up. It was good. With cream cheese it is the right amount of hot/cool.

My email is Suz0325@gmail.com Pop me your address..you get a jar :)

  22. PFFFFTTT! The hell you say! I would go in-freaking-sane...you hear me?? I can clean up vomit, wipe butts & noses, dispense meds & stay up all night. Scratching, refraining from scratching, and whining all wrapped into one...no, no & no! I was covered in them & have scars. My brother had them at the exact same time as I did & I will NEVER forget it. I will ship their narrow asses to one of you Fellowship Aunties!

  23. LOL Shana!!!! So,um you sort of feel strongly about the pox.ha ha ha. That is pretty brutal though to have them really bad. I just was um, lucky, and did not have a bad batch. Send them boys to me in Cali and we will bake those pox in the 100 degree weather to get rid of the em :P

  24. In 52 days, Logan will be 9. In 59 days, Jordan will be 14. So hopefully by the grace of God, we are passed the pox, ha! I'll keep you on speed dial though, Suz!!
